i'm back! with a loose toenail, a cough (a side effect of inhaling approximately ten bafillion gazillion kajillion (ok, slight exaggeration) particles of donkey poop dust), and approximately a thousand (not an exaggeration) pictures of my trip.
peru was, in a word, stunning. i'm still in a daze from the flurry of activity that happened over the course of the past ten days. while i can still vividly remember the colors, smell the surroundings, and taste the flavors that engulfed my experience in peru, i know all of these memories will slip quickly from my donkey poop-addled mind. so in an effort to preserve them, i will be making a series of blog posts entitled "the peru diaries". each entry will cover a leg of the trip and the first one will cross-my-fingers-and-toes be up by this evening.
